Indigenous Food Systems holds the promise to a sustainable system of food production that takes better care of the environment and bears our needed resources.
This means working towards building a future that takes Indigenous practices to create a food system that is productive yet able to preserve the biodiversity while being able to meet the needs of the people.
This also means recognizing the problems faced by Indigenous communities, struggling for decolonization, environmental justice, self-determination recognition, and against the global hegemony of the rich few.
